Willemstad, 02 november 2011 -
Dolphin Academy is starting with her education project ‘Bayena i Dòlfein’ (Whales and Dolphins) for the school year 2011-2012.
The project is developed for all the elementary schools. The goal is to teach all children on Curaçao about the dolphins and the sea life in an adventurous way. Hoping they will help contribute with the conservation of the sea and its inhabitants.
In 2010 Dolphin Academy expanded this project with packages for groups 3-8 of the elementary schools. Experience shows that it is difficult for the schools to buy the education packages themselves. For this reason Dolphin Academy asks the contribution of local companies and organizations, to adopt a classroom. As a thank you Dolphin Academy will reward the sponsor of a classroom with free programs among other things.
Dave Schram, famous Dutch director who is on the island to promote the release of his movie ‘Razend’, and the local band Dreams are the first two organizations to contribute with “Bayena i Dòlfein” ‘for the school year 2011-2012.
Dreams adopted a classroom of the Soeur Hedwigschool. Remarkable is that Dreams made and extra donation in order for this classroom to get dolphin kisses and take a picture of it home.
Are you as a company or organization interested to contribute to this education project please contact Reyeanne Goilo of Dolphin Academy’s Education department at 465-8900 ext. 5104, or send an e-mail to educatie@dolphin-academy.com
