Mission and message

It is the goal of the Dolphin Academy Curaçao is to teach people about dolphins and to share the fun of interacting with these wonderful animals.

Our location

The Curacao Dolphin Academy is located at the Curaçao Sea Aquarium in Curaçao, one of the Netherlands Antilles in the Southern Caribbean Sea. Located between Aruba and Bonaire.

Onze Dolfijnen

In 2002 our most important 'colleagues', the dolphins, were flown to their new home in Curaçao from Roatan Honduras. Initially Copan, Teresa, Bonnie, Annie and DeeDee came to Curaçao and later GeeGee joined them. Together with the dolphins, 4 trainers came along who also moved to Curaçao and still work with the dolphins at the Dolphin Academy.

In the meantime the dolphin family has expanded itself. In 2004 GeeGee gave birth to a healthy baby boy; Papito, and in 2005 DeeDee had a girl named Li-Na. GeeGee and Papito moved to the Curaçao Dolphin Therapy and Research Center in 2006 where they are now assisting in the therapy of mentally and/or physically handicapped children. In return Tela made the switch from the CDTC to the Dolphin Academy. On November 1st 2006, Papito and Li-Na were joined by a third sibling; a baby girl named Chabelita. The proud parents are Bonnie and Copan. In 2007 the family was extended with little sister Kayena. She was born on November 18th 2007, and is the daughter of Teresa en Copan. She is a very playfull and curious little girl!
